Review of Hometown Burger
I've recently realized that San Antonio has quite a few really good burger places. Hometown Burger is one of them. This location is on the south side. I don't find myself in the area often, but I'd make a special trip for this place. I had a 1/3 pound bacon cheeseburger with onion rings. The burger was fantastic. It had a nice saltiness (not salty) to it. It's not a previously frozen hamburger, it's made fresh when you order it. So good. The onion rings were hot and crispy. Looks like they were hand dipped in batter right before frying.
Everything here is made to order. It's a fast food place, but they take their time making everything taste so delicious. They also have chicken sandwiches, fish sandwiches, hot dogs, chilli dogs, shakes, and floats.
Try this place ASAP.
