Tour de France Stage 5 let the ramps beggin!

in #letour7 years ago (edited)

Tomorrow's stage 5 at Le Tour de France we'll finally see big hill climbs - one third category climb and on first category climb at the end.
It'll be amazing to see the fight between the best riders on the peloton.

It won't be so funny and amazing for the riders that will have to work their hardest and suffer in the 160Km of the stage between Vittel and La planche des belles filles, ending the last 8km with a climb at 11 and 20% inclines. That will be hard!

My bet is that Christopher Froome will take the yellow jersey at the end of the stage, his team mate Geraint Thomas second or third.
We will see Alberto Contador attacking in the climbs being just at 54 seconds from the first place Geraint Thomas.
The same from Nairo Quintana, the small but fast Colombian rider will most likely win some time in the general classification as well.
It will be a great day to watch cycling and appreciate the magnificent views.
