The British security agency warns against LED lights

Who even occasionally uses the car at night, knows how annoying can be lighting in many new cars. Technology that seems to be paradoxical brings harm to friendliness and security. More and more drivers complain about blinding lights in the latest cars. The British equivalent of ADAC, the RAC agency, has confirmed its concerns. LED technology is not so perfect at all?

In recent years, we can observe the evolution that systematically occurs in the lighting of cars. At the beginning of the last decade, xenon lamps gained popularity, and then LED lights became standard. The essence of the latter's operation is the technology, in which it goes well beyond the daylight mode and slowly starts to completely replace the traditional light bulbs from the headlights of new cars. Effective LED lights, which are so eagerly boast by other car manufacturers, however, carry a huge risk. Recently, this was confirmed by the British organization RAC.

Dangerous innovation
Of course, it's about headlights in new cars, which are more often blamed on dazzling drivers coming from the opposite side after dark. Many of you have probably once cast their anger with a certain word on "k" when during the night drive the field of vision was once again disturbed by an intense beam of light from a modern car coming from the opposite direction. The phenomenon is most pronounced in the case of SUVs, which, due to the relatively high positioning of headlamps, are the main perpetrators of this phenomenon.

The British equivalent of the popular German agency ADAC, known as RAC Limited, has just issued a message warning against LED lights on some new cars. Experts say that headlamps equipped with the mentioned technology often emit too bright light beam and in effect dazzle other drivers. The case is serious, because the blind driver creates a huge danger for himself and the environment.

Those unfortunate LEDs
The RAC agency is not the only one. Recently, the Telegraph newspaper, popular in the UK, has also taken the matter. The authors of the publication presented research, according to which as much as 15% of British drivers have at least once been dazzled by too bright lights of new cars. In response to the growing number of complaints, the British Department of Transport created - in cooperation with the UN - a group of researchers who are to demonstrate what the actual danger is with LED lamps.

Modernity in the service of what?
With the growing popularity of LED spotlights we will probably hear more and more about the risks they carry. Let's hope that speaking on the British RAC agency, along with the steps taken by the British authorities, will trigger a debate on the problems posed by modern technological trends in the automotive industry.
