The Cavaliers defeat the Celtics to advance to the 2017-18 NBA Finals!
Wow, what a great series between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Boston Celtics. Who would have thought it would have came down to an epic Game 7!. The Celtics are very young and lack a lot of veteran leadership (besides Al Horford). But many didn't expect the Celtics to make it this far into the NBA playoffs. They really had an amazing season, especially after losing their key players in Kyrie Irving and Gordon Haywood. With that said, lets get to Game 7. The Celtics had home advantage and played at home for the final game of the series. But what was the difference in the game? Experience. The Celtics lacked experience when it counts as the Cavaliers defeated the Celtics down the stretch 87-79. The Celtics played very well in the first half, keeping the game close and counting on their leadership from Al Horford. The Cavaliers had problems slowing him down early as he scored most of his 17 points in the first half. Jayson Tatum played well scoring a game high 24 points for the Celtics. The game change in the 4th quarter as Cleveland showed their experience to win in pressure situations. The Celtics had chances to take the lead but failed to go to Horford and struggle behind the three point line. Terry Rozier had an horrible game going 0-10 from three and scoring only four points for the game. The Cavaliers took advantage and close out the Celtics to advance to the NBA Finals. Jeff Green was the X-Factor for the Cavaliers scoring 19 points as he filled in for the injured Kevin Love. Lebron James had a great game scoring a game high 35 points in the win as he goes to his 8th straight NBA Finals. Congrats to both teams for an amazing series. Who will the Cavaliers face? Warriors vs Rockets GAME 7! Hopefully Chris Paul will be ready for the Rockets to put it all on the table for a trip to the NBA Finals. (Click the photo above for highlights!)
