Have you ever tried to say someone to do something for you and did they do of course most of not.

That's the other thing that you make someone to give his shoes by showing a gun to him. But these are bad methods.
The only way I can make you do something for me by giving you what you want.

John Dewey one of America's most profound philosophers said that the deepest urge of human nature is 'the desire to be important'. Everyone likes a compliment and appreciated. People have a wish to be appreciated or importance.

I will tell you one story, I 10th passed boys have won the 1st price in national level 100m racing competition .people didn't care about the medal but the boy did. Because it gives him a feeling of #importance.

The desire(to be important) makes you wear stylish clothes and watches, shoes, drive the latest cars etc.

people sometimes become mad in order to get a feeling of importance. For example, in my state, a thief uses to theft small things but he didn't get a feeling of importance in his community so he decided to murder someone so that his photo came in newspaper and T.V so that everybody comes to know that he is also a someone(to get feeling of importance ).

If some people are so hungry for a feeling of importance than what if we gave we gave them an honest appreciation.

a well-kown businessman Charles Schwab tells how he build the company . he said that he never scold his worker for a work not have done by his worker although he appreciates him for a work that his work done

he said'' there is nothing else that so kills the ambitious of a person criticisms for superior. I never criticize anyone. I believe in giving a person an incentive to work.so I am anxious to praise but loath to find fault. if I like anything, I am hearty in my approbation and lavish in my praise.''

that's Schwab said but what most people do?

so by just giving GIVING HONEST AND SINCERE APPRECIATION to someone, you can actually make someone to do anything for you.
