GENEROSITY (LEARNING -STORY)
Once upon a time there was a kingdom named Haribhanshpur, which was a full of wealthy and rich people. Ordinary people were also living their life with happiness and prosperity. Its king was so generous and kind. His name was Vallabh haribansh. He had a beautiful wife and a charming daughter. But there a time came when fortune striked his kingdom very badly. The king felt ill due to seviour injury on his back. Day by day he became very weak. So he tried a lot of treatments by vaidyas of his court. But any of his vaidyas could not help him to recover. Then he went into big depression. One of his ministers adviced him to announce some wealth for his treatment, that if any person cures his injury then he will be rewarded with a handsome amount of money and land. The king admired this idea and decided to announce on the next day.
Next morning he called for the tenants of his kingdom, But he made a slight change in the announcement suggested by his minister. He then announced that whoever cures his injury will be rewarded with a handsome amount of money and also he will be offered to marry his daughter.
After this announcement this news spreaded to the near by kingdoms very fast. A number of vaidyas came for his treatment but no one could able to cure him. But one day a young person with a bag arrived at his court and claimed that he will cure his injury. The person was looking so simple and average, Other vaidyas of the court made fun of him and argued that how this person could cure the injury which was not cured by experienced vaidyas of the court. They were not ready to allow him for the treatment of the king. This news when reached to the king vallabh , He stated that he want to give him a chance to cure him, because he was suffering very badly from that injury And he call for that young man to his "Raj palace" wher he could use every available natural herbs to cure him.
But the young man denied to use the herbs available at the Raj palace, Because the young man belonged to the nearby forest and he had his own medicines and herbs. He asked the king to made arrangements for his treatment procedure. He bought a kind of herv named "sanjeevani buti" with him. Which he had collected from deep forests. He made a paste of it and use some plant roots with it to preapare the medicine paste. After that he apply the paste on his back and advice him to take some ayurvedic medicines to cure fast. After one week of his treatment the king started to felt healthy as before, and all of his pain had vanished. He was very happy with that and decided to reward this young man infront of his people.
On the very next day the young man was asked to be presented before the king and all vaidyas of the court . Then the king vallabh asked his ministers to reward him with all the amount of wealth they had announced to reward before. The king also offered his daughter to marry this young man as he had saved his life.
But the young man denied to take any reward or offer from the king. His response astonished all people and the king himself presented in the court. Because while everyone was rushing before for the treatment of the king only because of the reward, this young man was denying that.
When the king asked why he was denying to accept any reward. He told that this was only his duty and said " As because I am a human being and I cannot see any person suffering from something whose treatment is already known to me, so serving people is my duty". This answer completely satisfied the king and he admired it with all his heart. But he reward him with all his wealth and handed his daughters hand to the young mans hand......
This story tells us an example that not everything is for reward or money. Your honesty and generosity will reward you if you follow the right path.....
