Japanese Photinia (Photinia Glabra)
The Japanese photinia, botanical name photinia glabra, is a small evergreen tree of the rose family.
It is a small broad-leaved tree, 3-5 meters tall, with many branches and thick leaves.
The leaf blades are oval in shape, 5-10 cm long, pointed at both ends, rough and shiny, with fine serrations on the leaf edges.
The young leaves are dark red and beautiful, as shown in the photo above.
Apart from Japan, this tree grows naturally in the People's Republic of China (southeastern and south-central areas), Thailand, and Burma, and is also found in Korea and the United States (Louisiana).
