Maidenhair Tree (Ginkgo Biloba)
Maidenhair tree, scientific name ginkgo biloba, is a type of gymnosperm native to China.
Also commonly called ginkgo or gingko, it is a large tree that can reach a height of 20 to 35 meters.
It has distinctive fan-shaped leaves with veins running along the leaf blade and sometimes branching (splitting).
The wood is used to make furniture, chessboards, carvings, and wine barrels. The wood is fire-resistant and rot-resistant.
