Leadership challenges

It's Monday and i trust it's a good day for us to share leadership throught

We all get to lead at different stages in our lives, either by virtue of being the first born in our family or having to set the pace for others to follow, in school, church, work place, organizations etc.

One of the things i learnt in leadership is that you will be faced with challenging circumstances that will require you to make certain decisions that people may not like.

If you know that you are on the right path and you know what you want to achieve, go on and do what you want, people will appreciate you later.

The most challenging aspect of leadership is having to contend with people’s idea, suggestions and proposals especially when it is on the opposite of what you think is right to do at that time.

Most times no one will approve of what a leader has decided to do because they have not seen the end point.

Leadership seeks to produce result at the end, not pleasing people at the beginning.

It is all about having a strong will-power, carrying your subordinates on the shoulder while crossing the bridge even when they can’t.

Don’t bother much when someone says “I was disappointed by you” rather be bothered about the one that said “I was hurt by you”.

Believe me if you fail to disappoint people at the beginning, you may hurt them at the end.

In conclusion, we shouldn't forget the fact that without leaders there would be no followers.

Even as we emerge leaders in our respective organisations, institutions,and other spheres of life, It is important to stay focused, maintain individualistic and leadership goals, accommodate opinions, suggestions as they could conform to your own goal as a leader, learn to tolerant others, not everyone will give you all the support you need to succeed.

You need and ought to have an inherent power to influence, lead and motivate both willing and less interested followers because in one way or the other, everyone is important. Both the good, ugly and bad people.

They are all important.
