What does it take to develop your leadership skills?
Leadership is not something which one can learn by giving mcq examinations or reading books or just sitting in front of a 15 inch screen all day. Leadership demands more than just a list of top 10 things to do every morning to become great at it.
Leadership is nurtured at every moment of your waking moment. The great part is we got a lot of moments to learn from & develop a personalized and very personal leadership skill. Also in single moment, one can absorb leading ability equal to leadership another person has built through years & years of experience. One has to be aware of these situations and keep looking to make yourself more equipped with different leadership skills.
Everyone & anyone can not just become leader one day. It is a stochastic build up of events, experiences, situations & efforts taken by that individuals (consciously/unconsciously) which make you into an inherent leader. Then there are some moments which really demand you to showcase these skills, these moments can happen anytime & you can choose them on your own like you can be just simply generous to a stranger on the road & helping them out or you being a tough guy to make a multi-million dollar decision at a board room meeting.
There is no fixed formula to be a great leader & also there is no set standards of a great leader. There are only effects/impacts of leadership, how many people/decisions/things one can lead & how large these effects end up into & lead into various impacts.
Growing your emotional intelligence is one of those abilities as mentioned in

If one keeps practicing & exploring those skills, one creates opportunities & situations which end up giving you those special moments where one gets to experiment & practice your leadership skills.
