Christian leadership: A church leader is a manager of God's household, so he must live a blameless life. Titus 1:7

From its beginnings the early Church was an institution guided by the Holy Spirit, as recounted in the Book of Acts, during the celebration of Pentecost, after the death and resurrection of the Lord, the apostles received the necessary grace to live and preach according to God's plan, and this spiritual reality was a truth that the apostle Paul always kept his mind and heart, especially when this doctor of the early Church wrote his famous letters.
The Church according to Paul's theological thought is the realization, through the communion of believers, of the Kingdom of God, the empire or dominion of divine perfections on earth. It is for all this that Paul, when writing a letter to his disciple Titus for the administration of the Church in Crete, left him an important spiritual recommendation about the elections of the leaders of the Church: "A church leader is a manager of God's household, so he must live a blameless life. He must not be arrogant or quick-tempered; he must not be a heavy drinker, violent, or dishonest with money" Titus 1:7.
And then the apostle wisely highlighted the characteristics that a christian leader should have in the likeness of the Lord: "Rather, he must enjoy having guests in his home, and he must love what is good. He must live wisely and be just. He must live a devout and disciplined life" Titus 1:8.
The works of the flesh when they are made evident in a believer are a sign that the conversion to faith is not sincere, and this believer must be examined, and for that reason above all things he should not be a leader of the community, Paul left as a thought. But on the other hand, when the fruits of the spirit, such as wisdom and meekness bear fruit in the believer, these are signs of the work of God and maturity, and so these people should be taken into account for leadership. And all this to achieve a higher objective, to oppose sound faith to the teaching of heresy, that is, the instruction of error, which is the greatest threat to the Church.
With this brief letter to Titus, Paul expressed how the true love of Christ must become the source for the life of the Church and the transformation of society.
