DAY2: LEADERSHIP IS A CHOICE
Leadership does not just come upon you. It is deliberate. It is a choice to be different. It is a choice to stand up and challenge the status quo. It is a choice to move forward and take challenges. It is a choice to rise up from the multitude. It is a choice to become a Willing Participant. It is a choice to AVOID neutrality. It is a conscious choice made to be known for something. It is a choice to stand up for your convictions and lead others to believe. It is not Dormancy. Leadership is a choice to be active and to be involved. No one relinquishes a position of responsibility to passive people. Leadership is a choice to Create and be known for your Creation.
All effective leaders have made a deliberate choice to lead, to do the work of leadership, to respond to our reality, to accept responsibility to be the change we want to see in the world, to inspire hope in others, to motivate others to participate in a meaningful journey of change.
If you're in a leadership position and you've truly not made a conscious choice to Lead, you'll only struggle to do what is expected of you in that role and nothing more. Leadership is a conscious Decision! If you're yet to Decide, then you're yet to Lead!
