I have been student of Bs (Social Work) 4 years degree program. I also done internship in Punjab Institute of Mental Health Where were many case of gender violence. Especially sexual and property violence on women.
Unfortunately we are living in such era , where on men is dominant and women still facing violence in different ways.
Part 1 : Tell if in your country there is a special law to protect the rights of women and what is your opinion regarding that law?
There are numerous legal guidelines in Pakistan to guard women’s rights. Some of them are Protection against Violence in opposition to Women at Workplace Act (2010), Prevention of Acid Attack and Acid Crimes Act (2011) and Home Affairs (Protection and Defence) Act. In special states. These laws target harassment, violence and discrimination and feature the potential to empower girls and offer justice. In reality, these legal guidelines are essential in societies wherein patriarchal norms often prevent gender equality.However, powerful implementation stays difficult due to the fact weak community management and governance on occasion undermine their effectiveness. Raising recognition and building assist at domestic is crucial to making sure those guidelines gain their goals.
Say if you consider that this law is effective and if it does not violate the principle of equality before the law that both men and women have.
Well, In my own perspective, I can say that These laws are vital in societies where women are subject to discrimination and violence because they help create a safer environment and promote gender equality. While the law is effective, its impact depends on the effort put in and public awareness. It does not contradict the principle of equality before the law, but rather a practice that eliminates the power imbalance and ensures that women are equal and protected in the workplace.
PART || : From the list of crimes indicated in class, say which ones you consider may be crimes of gender violence and which may be common crimes committed against a woman or women.
Well, there are many common aspects of commiting gender violence. Anything which is badly effect to your personal property or demolish your assets consider violence. In case of Pakistan, Growth rate is rapidly increasing, So , Sorry to say that people are forgetting their Islamic and cultural norms and values and they commit crime's just because of fulfilling thier temporary relief and materialistic lifestyle. They forget the punishment of the their sin after the dead/hereafter life where they live forever.
You or someone close to you has been a victim of gender violence. What was the situation? Was the victim able to assert his rights? Do you consider that the law favored the victim?
Yes!! Unfortunately, That is recently very awful incident happened to my neighbors 15 years old girl. Who is learning Islamic education and staying in same educational institution. She is very simple, smiling and friendly girl. Some weeks ago we surprised to hear from their family that she gone mad and wanted to kill everyone. She assume that everyone is her enemy. She ran away too from her own because of frightening. She totally lost her senses. Her family is very poor and can't afford her medical and mentally treatment. We are so sorry to her effected and victimized health.
Part lll : Practical Case 1. A thief arrives at a restaurant and subdues the customers present so that they hand over their belongings. A woman refuses to hand over her cell phone and her money, instead she confronts the thief, for which he activates his firearm and shoots the aforementioned woman, causing her death. -. Tell us if we are in the presence of a feminicide or a homicide committed against a woman. Give reasons for your answer.
Well after go through that case, I have come to know that this is not a femicide, it is a woman murder. Femicide is the killing of women because of their gender; it is often caused by misogyny, racism or power relations. In this case, the murder occurred because the woman defended the thief, and the reason for the murder was related to the crime of theft and had nothing to do with her father's life. That's all!!

Men's verbal abuse, restriction of women's freedoms, physical attacks and other behaviors against women are rooted in gender discrimination and patriarchal ideas. Their actions encourage gender-based violence and violate the dignity, freedom and physical integrity of women, who are symbols of gender-based violence.
