Liquid Asset Token (LA) – An undervalued/underestimated project?

In 2017 their company hold an ICO and raised 19.6 Million USD in ETH. They were aiming to connect the digital with the real world (buying real world stuff with crypto).
I quote: We facilitate a broad use of cryptocurrencies in the real economy and allow crypto holders to diversify their portfolios by acquiring tokens linked to the price of real assets.

Also their team does look great. In my opinion this project did not get the attention it deserves, some people even called it a scam and so on. But in opposite of many projects out there LA is delivering constantly, although they are not constantly in the news:

1. They have created a crypto-exchange
As usual you can trade ETH, BTC, USDT and their own token (LA) to buy and sell crypto. When using LA you get a discount on trading fees.

2. You can directly invest in ICOs
No need to registers for every ICO you want to invest in seperately with. You can directly invest in ICOs via their own currency LA or ETH. That safes a lot of time and prevents you from being spamed with email from those ICOs.

3. They have integrated a multicurrency wallet
You can store many popular tokens/coins. I am sure their will be added more in the future.

Alright so far. This is of course sounds not that spectecular because we already have so many crypto exchanges. But they are planning to bring up some more interesting stuff in 2018/2019.

4. Trading tokenized assets
At the moment they are trying to obtain the necessary licenses for trading of asset tokens for stocks, real estate and art.

Here ist how they are planning on doing it:

a) Asset owner sells part of the asset to a LATOKEN-certified custodian
b) The custodian issues asset tokens linked to the asset value and sells them to cryptoholders
c) Cryptoholders may sell the asset tokens on a secondary market
d) The asset owner buys back the asset tokens on the settlement date or the custodian sells the asset at a fiat auction and distributes the proceeds among the asset tokens’ holders

5. FIAT-Gateway
They are also planning to integrate a FIAT-Gateway. This is also great for mass adoption.

6. Launching a DEX (decentralized exchange)
In the opposite to a centralized exchange you are trading directly from your wallet to another wallet. So you dont have to transfer your tokens/coins to the exchange. This safes time and money (transaction fees). Instead of using a blockchain, LA is planning to setup this exchange on graphchain with up to 100,000 transactions per second which will speed up transactions a lot, compared tot he existing DEX available.

So there are some interesting things to come in the near future.

I think also worth mentioning is that they were hosting the BEF (Blockchain Economic Forum in New York and Singapore) to „…to expand a network of partners and increase LATOKEN awareness in the blockchain community.“

Another important step is to open offices in Korea, USA, Japan and EU. This will help establishing and grow personal/political contacts with the regional authorities.
