Tuesday Air Traffic Control Report
12:30 PM EST
Air travel across the USA and Canada is looking pretty good for most cities. We do have a couple of ATC delay programs in effect:
EWR, Newark Liberty International is experiencing delays of around 40 minutes due to windy conditions in the area.
LAS, Las Vegas McCarran International is experiencing rare ATC delays. Travelers going into and out of LAS today may experience delays over 2 hours due to low clouds in the area. If you are planning to fly into Las Vegas and make a connecting flight today then you should be in contact with your airline before flying. This is a significant ground delay program that will likely cause several missed flight connections for passengers.
You may be able to make flight changes through alternate airports or find nonstop flights if available. I would advise passengers connecting through LAS today to work with your airline to find alternates and avoid getting stuck.
PHX, Phoenix Sky Harbor International is experiencing delays of about 30 minutes due to low clouds in the area.
As always, passengers should check with their airline for possible flight delays before heading to the airport to prepare for possible flight changes.
Happy Travels!
