Last night in Sweden - 5th sep 2017

What's been going on the last day in Sweden? I know you're all very curious to find out! As you all know by now, Sweden is a very strange country to the anyone looking from the outside in, but also to some of us here right now.

Socialists in the Social Democrats-party are putting themselves above the law

In Sweden, the laws normally applies to all and everyone but lately this rule begun to change. Yesterday we could read in the papers that the Social Democrats have created a law that sets them [the political party] above the law. The law in question is there to protect people with gambling problems to take loans to fund further gambling. The Social Democrats, however, decided that too much of their income (about 1/3 of all of their yearly income and 9/10 of their youth party's yearly income) comes from their lottery operations.

It's also worth mentioning that quite a bit of their "customers" are elderly people deeply indebted which makes it quite a bit worse seeing as they want to give the image that they are the best option for the elderly.

It's a really cynical scheme.

More Social Democrats are putting themselves above the law

No, it's not a joke. This news just broke here in Sweden and the reports are saying that apparently the chief of police (appointed by the current government and has no background in the police organisation) have leaked classified information to private companies. The information contains the name, personal id-number, salaries, etc. for all the police personnel currently employed in the police organisation. It also contain information about the employees significant others, travel routes, schedules, etc.

This is honestly tiring to listen to, it's just weeks after the last leak where apparently the Swedish transport authority did the same thing - outsourced secret information about all of the vehicle records of Swedish citizens, military vehicles, police vehicles, rescue vehicles, etc. to a private company based in another country. That time it turned out to be an IBM branch based in Serbia. Later it turned out that Serbian military personnel got their hands on the documents and then the Russians, according to Nyheter Idag. That time it led to the dismissal of our PM's right hand. Things are about to get interesting!

Migrants from Finland crosses the border into Sweden to apply for asylum there instead

Today, finally, about 40 migrants made it out of the war zone that is northern Finland where they'd had their asylum application rejected by the Finnish migration authorities. Luckily, they are now in Best Sweden and are on their way to the Swedish migration center in Boden. This would be a great opportunity for the Swedish authorities to put their foot down and say enough is enough. According to the Dublin agreement asylum seekers have no right what so ever to chose what country will treat their application and if Sweden now plays it cards right, there's a chance that this could lead to a turning point. All the Swedish authority would have to do is make a public statement that this type of behaviour under no circumstances is allowed. Europe is not some kind of shopping mall where you can go around trying out countries before you decide what to purchase.

If we go down the other road, however, things will become increasingly difficult since this creates a precedent for what the future migrants may claim. It will get increasingly harder to turn around for every little event, and when it finally turns (because I'm pretty certain it will) it will get the more ugglier. Sweden is a country of extremes and does not do any half-assed turnabouts. No, we just have to go all the way towards the one extreme until we're staring down the abyss and then, we realise that what we're doing is wrong and whatever is the opposite must be right, and so the pendulum swings back the other direction, all the way to the other extreme.

The headache continues...
