So the final two competitors survived 5 weeks with their teams winning. Congratulations to @shaheerbari and @minimining for reaching the final two. @minimining went for Southampton and @shaheerbari were for Tottenham. Two good picks compared to the quality of their opposition . But unfortunately both teams lost. Tottenham were beaten by a dodgy VAR decision and Southamton went down to Bournmouth on Friday night so it was a nail biting wait for @minimining . Both contestants got knocked out which means that they both were the Last Men Standing. They share the prize of 50 Steem Basic Income Shares guarenteeing them an income for life on Steem plus 50000 sports tokens to share to do whatever you wish with. I'd just like to thank everybody that took part in last man standing. I think the total that took part was in the 60s. It was a record number. I will be doing another last man standing very soon so I will hope to see you all back for another knockout competition. I will give you all plenty of notice . I really enjoyed hosting the contest and thanks to everyone that has taken part. The contest is nothing without willing participants. I think the @sportstalksocial platform is ideal for contests like this one so the next contest will have even bigger prizes than this test run.

TWAT lol but seriously....no, I'm staying calm. He works hard, he's in the right places, he battles but when he just can't get the ball into the net. His last touch lets him down every time.
I feel a bit sorry for him as he knows, you can see from his face but yesterday, he hit the post from 1 yeard out and tried to lob the goalie from 8 yards out when he just needed to whack it past as the goalie who was rushing out.
We were sat in the pub and with 15 minutes to go and a missed penalty, an air of inevitability descended !!
