As a man who grew up in a village (and still lives there), I can authoritatively say that dry hay (mowed grass), in different ways. In the plain, the hay is several times reversed from side to side, so that it evenly dried up, then it is put in a haystack, which put on the ground. In the mountains, the haystack are not ordinary. The hay are thrown on specially cut trunks of trees with branches that are stuck in the ground. This is obviously due to the fact that in the mountains often rains and to dry hay is impossible like on the plain. Because haystacks are high, but small in diameter, so the grass gradually dries, even if the rain falls, or there is raw weather, because it constantly blows the wind.

Як людина, яка виросла в селі (і досі там живе), я можу авторитетно сказати, що сушать сіно (скошену траву), по різному. На рівнині сіно спочатку декілька разів перевертають з боку на бік, щоб воно рівномірно просохло, тоді його складають у копиці, які ставлять на землю. В горах же копиці не звичайні. Сіно кидають на спеціально зрубані стовбури дерев з гілками, які встромляють в землю. Це вочевидь робиться з огляду на те, що в горах часто йдуть дощі і сушити сіно так як на рівнині неможливо. Через копиці роблять високими, але малими в діаметрі, таким чином трава поступово висихає, навіть якщо падає дощ чи є сира погода, оскільки її постійно обдуває вітер.
