Travel Photography: Morning Views at Boriam Temple, South Korea
High atop Geumsan Mountain on Namhae-do is the Boriam Hermitage. It was built in the year 683 by the famous monk Wonhyo-daesa. The first Joseon king Taejo was said to have prayed here for 100 days before he became ruler of the land.
Its mountaintop location offers beautiful panoramic views of the island below and is an especially good spot to watch the sunrise.
