on the way to iceland's golden circle

Big vistas open up just outside of Reykjavik, but the popular Golden Circle route can get crowded at times. When you pull over to take photos, other cars and even a tour bus may follow you assuming you know something. Auder Osp in her excellent blog http://iheartreykjavik.com says a good way to shake the crowds is to simply take a counterclockwise route and avoid common morning and mid-day tour times.
