lol. no one goes on a holiday on the Welland Canal. It is for cargo ships. However you can drive over it and you can also go there down to the locks and watch the ships go through the locks. Done that too.. interesting to see..
I dont know for sure if a pleasure boat uses it or not. I only know that they do not have formal canal cruises, like on the Rhine or the Danube. Not a shame though. Lakes rivers and canals are everywhere.

Great photo - Good to see canals being used instead of roads! But I look forward to the obvious technology of "Wind and Sails" returning to shipping as it is beginning at last to do! There are plans for many sail powered container boats for open sea - these cannot come soon enough for our ecology.

yes. I would love to see more of that wind and sails and far less trucks on our roads. That particular canal is well used for cargo. :)))
