Either she let the ball go by 24 times, or she made 9 defensive stops. Simple arithmetic. Her defensive posture was great, carrying all that equipment. Those girls get concussions. Now that she has the fundamentals, I have to tell her the truth, once she gets some rest. Lacrosse goalies, like hockey goalies, block shots with all body parts: shins, feet, hands, forearms, sticks. That ball hurts. If she's going to sacrifice all those body parts, she's going to need padding, in addition to what she already wears. She chose the sport. All I can do is support her in it.
