WHY DO I SEE AN NFT BEING SENT FROM MY ACCOUNT WITHOUT MY APPROVAL — Ledger Live

in #l29 days ago

If you happen to see outgoing transactions of unknown NFTs from your wallet being sent without approval, you’re experiencing an address-poisoning attack from scammers.

You’ve to understand that the NFTs transactions are not on your address or account. So, your account and addresses are not compromised in any way.

Please download the last update of Ledger Live Application:

1. Ledger Live for Windows 10/11

2. Ledger Live for MAC

3. Ledger Live for Android

Here’s how this works

The scammers create a smart contract of the malicious NFTs and mint them to a lot of addresses scraped from blockchain explorers.

So, if your address was scrapped from the blockchain explorers, you’ll see the outgoing transfer of these NFTs, as if they are being sent from your address.

Here’s how to be safe and avoid getting scammed.

  1. Ignore this type of transaction and don’t click on links!
  2. Do not attempt to copy any of the transaction addresses or send funds to them. Even if it’s similar to your own address.
  3. Never share your 24-word recovery phrase in the app or website. Keep in mind that Ledger will never ask for your 24-words recovery phrase.
  4. Don’t click on the links or sign any transaction requested in the process.
