FIFA DESTINY
Some time back I registered on KuCoin exchange. They try to engage their patrons with something other than the routine offerings of most cryptocurrency exchanges, so they fairly regularly produce competitions in which a contestant can win some extra tokens. I don't consider myself lucky and rarely get involved in essentially games of chance. However, when KuCoin ran a FIFA 2018 contest, I decided - in the spirit of horse racing - that I'd place a slate of winners "in the hat." (Mixed metaphor.)
I don't know too much about soccer, aka foot ball. I was familiar with a couple of enthusiastic Latino soccer fans in my working environment, and so I asked them who they thought might win. Neither would offer opinions. I decided to go to DuckDuckGo and learn a little about the FIFA "best in show."
As it happened, KuCoin exchange had actually run three contests. I was aware of only one, which involved picking the Semi-Finalists from the list of Quarter-Finalists. That made it easier, as there were fewer teams to study. After looking over the contestants, I made my picks: France, Belgium, Croatia and England. Guess what? Yep!
I was a winner! To make it official, I received a notice via email from KuCoin proclaiming this fact. (There must have been a bunch of us.) I was advised that my wallet would soon receive my Bitcoin booty.
Thanks, KuCoin! I needed that!
