After investigation, it is known that the incident of getting a Russell's viper snake in Shariatpur district is the incident of Sonapur village of Pathannagar union of Chagalnaya upazila of Feni since this morning, rumors were spread on several Facebook IDs and pages. Panic spread throughout Feni including that area. However, after talking to the local public representatives, it is known that the information about getting Russell's viper in Sonapur village is not correct. Locals said, it is a rumour. Incidents elsewhere have been continued as Feni.

When asked to know, Pathannagar Union Parishad Chairman Rafiqul Haider Jewel said, 'The information about getting Russell's Viper in Sonapur village is not correct. I have learned from talking to people including local members that this is a rumour. Incidents of other places have been continued as Feni.

Babul Bhowmik, Range Officer of Feni Social Forest Department, said that the information about getting Russell's viper in Chagalnaya is not correct. Basically it has spread as a rumor on social media.

He said, snake is a harmless animal. When life is in danger, he tries to save his life. This forest officer urged to be careful without panic.

A mobile court fined a butcher named Mominul Islam Tk 20,000 for the crime of selling meat by slaughtering sick goats in Phulbari, Dinajpur.

Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Mir Md. conducted a mobile court in the meat market of the upazila in the afternoon on Thursday (June 20). Al Kamah Tamal.

Butcher Mominul Islam is the son of deceased Farid Uddin of North Sujapur village of Fulbari Upazila municipality.

Sanitary Inspector Jagadish Chandra Mahant said, based on secret information, UNO was informed about the sale of sick goat meat in the municipal meat market. Later, the UNO conducted the operation with the upazila livestock officer. After examining the meat and heart of the goat, Deputy Assistant Animal Husbandry Officer Mostafizar Rahman said that it was unfit for consumption and the goat was diseased.

UNO Mir Md. Al Kamah Tamal said, meat seller Mominul Islam was fined Tk 20,000. At the same time the slaughtered goat is buried underground.
