Mushfiqur Rahman Ifat, a viral youth with a picture of a goat, is the son of Matiur Rahman, a member of the National Board of Revenue and President of the Customs Excise and VAT Appellate Tribunal, said Member of Parliament for Feni-2 Constituency and District Awami League General Secretary Nizam Uddin Hazari.
He confirmed this to Jago News on Thursday (June 20) evening.
Nizam Hazari said that Ifat's mother Shibli is the daughter of Millat Mia of Aru Chairman's house in Sonapur village of Amirabad union of Sonagazi upazila of Feni. She is Matiur Rahman's second wife. Ifat is his son. I believe that Matiur Rahman angrily denied the relationship with Ifat.
He also said that Matiur Rahman always participated in various family functions with my cousin.
It is known that Ifat lives in Dhanmondi area of the capital. His father NBR officer Matiur Rahman's first wife Laila Kaniz is the chairman of Raipura upazila parishad of Narsingdi. Of couple of has a son and a daughter of. And only child of second wife is Mushfiqur Rahman Ifat.
Earlier on June 19, National Board of Revenue (NBR) member and President of Customs Excise and VAT Appellate Tribunal Matiur Rahman commented that he has no relationship with Mushfiqur Rahman Ifat. He said, I don't have any son named Ifat. Not even relatives or acquaintances. My only son, his name is Taufiqur Rahman. A group is spreading misinformation against me. I am going to take legal action in this regard seeking the assistance of Cyber Crime Investigation Department of Police. He also commented that he was embarrassed by the use of his picture and name on social media.
