Former Bangladesh national cricket team captain Khaled
Former Bangladesh national cricket team captain Khaled Masood Pilot's mother Nargis Ara Begum has passed away (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun).
He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Rajshahi Medical College (Ramek) Hospital on Tuesday (June 25) at 11:45 PM. He was 72 years old.
Khaled Masood Pilot himself confirmed the news of his mother's death in a status given on his verified Facebook page in the afternoon.
In it he wrote, 'My mother Mrs. Nargis Ara Begum passed away today at 11:45 PM at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital. Everyone pray for my mother may Allah grant her heaven. After the deceased's funeral, Esha Tikapara Eidgaon ground will be held.
According to Ramek Hospital sources, Khaled Masood Pilot's mother Nargis Ara Begum was suffering from diabetes, high blood pressure, heart problems, kidney and other diseases related to old age for a long time. He was admitted to Ramek Hospital on Sunday (June 23). He was urgently shifted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of the hospital after his condition deteriorated on Monday. He died today while undergoing treatment.
Earlier, on August 27, 2017, Shamsul Alam, the father of Khaled Masood Pilot, died while taking a bath in a pond in Sagarpara area of Rajshahi metropolis. Later his body was recovered by fire service personnel. His father was a football team player. Their house is in Sagarpara area of Rajshahi metropolis. They live in that house.
Awami League presidium member and Rajshahi City Corporation Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton has expressed deep grief over the death of Khaled Masood Pilot's mother. He expressed his grief in a statement on Tuesday.
