Feni municipality removed the waste of sacrificial animals within the pre-announced five-hour period around Eid-ul-Azha. On Monday (June 17), the cleaning workers of the municipality started the work of removing the waste from 1 pm and completed it before 6 pm.

Ward number 10 Doctor Para, West Doctor Para, Pathan Bari Road are the most populated areas of the city. It is there that the waste removal work is seen to be completed first. Besides, in Ward No. 18 Rampur Patwari Bari Road, Chowdhury Bari Road, Saudagar Bari Road, Mirza Bari Road, Ward No. 9 Shaheed Selina Parveen Road, Nazir Road and Shantidhara are seen working on the surface.

Feni Municipal Medical Officer Krishnapad Saha told Jago News that 109 places were designated for animal slaughter in 18 wards of Feni Municipality. Animals are slaughtered at designated places. In addition, animals were slaughtered on the streets in front of houses in different neighborhoods.

He said, to collect the waste from those places, the cleaners use trolleys, rickshaw vans and garbage trucks and dump them in designated dustbins and designated places. Bag (sack) provided by Feni municipality plays a major role in waste disposal. Cleaning worker Ruhul Amin said that the waste left after the sacrifice made it possible to clean it easily.

Ward No. 10 supervisor Noor Karim said that we are working to clean the entire city before the specified time given by the mayor. Mayor sir trusted us, we finished the work before evening.

Abul Kashem, a resident of the same ward, said that it is impossible to understand that the sacrifice took place. There is no garbage anywhere. The entire area is clean and odor free.

Noor Nabi Manna, a resident of Ward No. 7 of the municipality, said that as soon as the waste was put in sacks and placed on the road, the cleaning workers of the municipality took them in a pickup van and sprinkled bleaching powder on the place of sacrifice.

Municipal Mayor Nazrul Islam Swapan Miyaji told Jago News about the removal of waste, I have promised the residents of the city to remove the waste of the sacrifice within five hours. I was able to complete the work on time with the help of the citizens.
