How to write a reasoning essay?

in #krsuccesslast month

In writing any texts where you need to defend your point of view, we advise you to adhere to the "rule of three". This method is often used by various coaches, speakers and businessmen in their speeches when they need to convince their audience of something.

According to the "rule of three", you can also build an essay:

  1. Introduction = your assessment (agree or disagree) of the thesis.

  2. The main part = evidence of your point of view (arguments).

  3. Conclusion = generalization of all the above and final conclusions.

By the way, if you are writing an essay based on a work, then follow the scheme on the infographic:

So, you get the task: to write an essay on the topic "The world rests on the affection of mothers." What should I do next? We are looking into it in detail.

Introduction to the essay-reasoning
In the introduction, you need to bring the reader to the main idea. At the beginning of your essay, you need to evaluate the thesis: do you agree with it or not. For more convincing, turn to the "Socrates method". That is, you need to give three statements or ask three questions (the "rule of three" works again, did you notice?) that the reader would agree with.

For example: "What is the first word a child pronounces more often? To whom do we run with joy or with sorrow? Who remains our closest friend for the rest of our lives? Of course, Mom."

You must admit that our position is already clear on these three lines: we agree with the thesis "The world rests on the affection of mothers."

By the way, another technique that can be used is an epigraph. This is a phrase of a famous person, an excerpt from a work of art, proverbs or sayings suitable for the topic. For example, in our essay, as an epigraph, one could take the words of Victor Hugo "The hands of mothers are woven of tenderness — children sleep peacefully on them."

In the introduction, you can also mention the importance and relevance of this thesis, make a short digression into history or share your opinion on this topic.
