요즘 비가 정말 많이 내리고 있어요. 밤마다 천둥번개가 치면서 비가 내리니 자기 전에 걱정이 되더군요. 얼마 전까지만 해도 가뭄 때문에 비를 바랐는데, 얄궂게도 지금은 비가 너무 많이 내려서 한숨이 나옵니다. 여전히 강원과 경북 동해안 일대는 비가 오지 않아서 논바닥이 갈라지는데 세종과 충북 지역이 홍수로 침수 피해를 겪고 있습니다.
These days in Korea, the rain is pouring down. Thunder rumbles and lightning flashes almost every night, so I get worried before I go to sleep. It didn't rain until a couple of weeks ago and everybody wished rain, but ironically it rains too much now. Many people in Sejong and Chungbuk area lost their houses by the flood, while Gangwon and east coast area of Gyeongbuk having a drought.

이 작은 나라에서 정반대되는 자연재해가 일어나니 뉴스를 보는 사람은 마음이 무겁습니다. 직접적인 피해를 겪지 않은 저도 이렇게 마음이 답답한데, 재해를 겪고 계신 분들은 얼마나 통탄스러울까요.
Completely opposite two natural disasters happening in this small country make news viewers including me who don't experience damage depressed. It is impossible to reckon the sadness of victims.
