Ukraine has been hammered once more; Zelenskyy claims US officials will arrive.

KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — on Saturday, Russian forces in Ukraine attempted to raid a steel mill in the southern city of Mariupol, housing soldiers and residents, in an attempt to smash the final pocket of resistance in a location of great symbolic and strategic significance to Moscow, according to Ukrainian officials.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that he will meet with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin on Sunday in Kiev. The White House did not respond to a request for comment.

At a press conference, Zelenskyy revealed few details about the encounter's logistics, but claimed he was expecting solid results — "not just presents or some type of cakes, we are expecting certain goods and particular weaponry," he added.
