Korean vocabulary #2
Today we learn how to write emails in korean..
....(Person's name and title) 안녕하세요? / 안녕하십니까?
Next you must introduce who you are. For example,
ㅇㅇㅇ (학생/선생/교수) 입니다. I am student/teacher/professor
In korean language it's polite to introduce yourself at the beginning of the letter.
Then you can use a phrase which is commonly used in formal emails such as
다름이 아니라 궁금한 게 있어서 이메일로 연락드리게 되었습니다.
It’s nothing other than I have a few things I was wondering about which prompted me to contact you via email.
This phrase slightly indicates that you are sorry for bothering yet it is very polite.
