통로에 위치한 복합문화공간 더 커먼즈, 제대로 즐기려면 주말에 방문하는 것이 좋을 것 같다. 평일에는 음식점, 카페에 가거나 공간을 구경하는 식으로 즐기는 것이 다지만 주말에는 마켓, 축제, 등 각종 이벤트가 열린다. 그래서 예술가도 모이고 태국의 젊은이들, 여행자들이 찾는 공간이다. 내가 갔을 때는 라티노라마 페스티벌이 열리고 있었다.

The Commons, the complex cultural space located in the Thonglor. You'd better visit on the weekend to enjoy yourself.
On weekdays, people enjoy just looking around or going to cafes and restaurants, but on the weekends, various events such as the market, festivals, and so on are held. So, artists, young people in Thailand, and tourists find this place. When I went, the Latinorama Festival was taking place.

화려한 색감의 표지판이 라틴스럽다.

곳곳이 페스티벌을 알리는 장식들로 꾸며져 있었다. 색감이 워낙 화려해서 그런지 사람이 없는 오전에 방문했음에도 축제분위기를 느낄수 있었다.

It was decorated with Latin style decorations announcing the festival. The colors were so colorful that I could feel the festive mood even though I visited in the morning.

10시 30분에 열리는 워크숍에 참여하려고했는데 관계자에게 물어보니 이미 마감이라서 못했다. 400바트로 한화 13000원 정도이다. 태국 물가에 비해서는 비싼 것 같으나 더 커먼즈는 전체적으로 일반적인 태국 물가와는 다른 가격대로 형성되어 있는 듯 하다.

키즈카페인지 어린이 용품점인지 어린이 관련 가게의 간판인데 진짜 어린이가 돌아다니다가 가지고 노는 걸 보고 아! 디자인이란 저렇게 해야하는건가 싶었다 ㅎㅎㅎ 여러 연령대의 아이들 눈높이에 맞는 배치와 어른의 눈높이에는 텍스트가 있어서 모두를 위한 입간판이랄까.

It is a sign of a Kids Cafe that was designed to play with. I saw a child play with it and thought it was a well-designed sign. It was a sign for different age groups.

탑 야드로 올라가면 로스트라는 식당이 나온다. 밥이나 브런치 먹기 좋은 곳 같으나 기회가 안되서 가보지는 못했다. 분위기 정말좋았다. 태국의 가게 인테리어는 식물이 정말 중요한 요소이다.

When you go up to the top yard, you will see a restaurant Roast. It sounds like a good place to eat or have brunch, but I couldn't go because I didn't have a chance. The atmosphere looked really good. Plants are really important to the interior design of stores in Thailand.

이 카페에서 꽤 오래 쉬었다. 앉아서 챙겨온 관광 안내 책자도 보고 그림도 그리고 사람들도 관찰하고. 내 옆에 있던 태국분들이 나보다 먼저와서 오래 있어서 더 편하게 있었다. 그분들은 커피에 관심이 많은지 직원과 많은 이야기를 나누었는데 드립커피를 시켜서 먹더니 친절하게 나에게도 나눠주었다.

I've had a good rest in this cafe. I sat down to see the tourist information book, paintings, and people. People who are interested in coffee gave me free coffee. It was delicious.

딱히 마켓이 열린건 아닌데 한쪽에 자리잡고 핸드메이드 제품을 판매하는 분도 계셨다.

가게들 다 깔끔하고 예쁘다. 너무 일찍이라 아이스크림 가게는 문을 안열었다.

The stores are all neat and pretty. It was too early to open the ice cream shop.

루츠커피 맞은편에 있는 타르트 가게 홀리몰리방콕. 원래 하나만 사서 맛만 보려고 했는데 3개 사면 할인이 있어서 3개를 포장해가서 먹었다. 에그, 치즈, 타이티로 골랐다. 따끈한 타르트가 맛있었다. 특히 태국에만 있는 타이 티 맛이 독특하고 좋았다.

Buy three tart and give them a discount. I bought three for takeaway. Egg, Cheese, Thai tea flavor. They were all delicious, but the taste of Thai tea was especially unique and nice in Thailand.
