Having Meat Noodle After Snowstorm. 폭설 후 먹은 제주도 고기국수.

A week ago, Jeju, Korea had massive snowstorm. It's about 4 years living here, I was shocked to see that heavy snow. Even 80-year-old locals said they have never experienced that unusual weather. My place is far from mountain that rarely see snow sticking on the ground, but this time completely burst my bubble that Jeju is warm island lol.
1주일 전 제주는 1주일 동안의 폭설을 겪었습니다. 이사 온 지 4년차 다 된 저도 처음 본 풍경이었는데..
알고 보니 제주에서 평생 사신 할아버지, 할머니들도 그런 건 처음 봤다고 하더라고요. 더군다나 제가 사는 곳은 산도 없어서 1년에 하루 눈 쌓일까 말까 한 곳인데... 정말 징그럽게 눈 구경 했습니다. 제주도는 따뜻하다! 라는 환상은 계속 깨지더군요 ㅋㅋㅋ

When it comes to Jeju... you must not miss meat noodle (Go-ki Gook-su).
I still remember when I first saw this... "Isn't this just a noodle with pork?" haha, it was not that simple.
Made from simmering the bones, pork broth come out rich and milky, and noodle itself complete original tastes. It's different from tonkotsu ramen. I think tonkotsu ramen is a bit greasier.
제주도 하면 생각 나는 음식 중에... 고기국수가 빠질 수 없죠.
처음에 이걸 먹었을 땐 '그냥 국물에 고기 들어간 거잖아?' 라고 생각 했는데, 막상 먹어보면 예상 못한 맛이었습니다. 부드러운 돼지고기에 담백하고 진한 국물이 합쳐져서 새로운 맛이 나온다고 해야 되나요. 돈코츠라멘하곤 좀 다릅니다. 개인적으론 고기국수가 덜 느끼합니다.

I think I've had many different noodles in Jeju. Jeju is not a good place for rice farming because most of the land is baslat that cannot absorb water longer. That's why noodle culture in Jeju developed. At least noodle hasn't disappointed me wherever I eat. (Maybe I'm so lucky or.. I love noodle too much)
제주도 오고 국수란 국수는 엄청 먹은 거 같습니다. 알고 보니 제주도는 땅에 현무암이 많아서 물이 다 빠져 나가기 때문에 농사 짓기가 힘들다고 하더라고요. 그래서 국수 문화가 발달했더라고요. 뭐 다른 건 몰라도 면 요리는 뭘 먹어도 다 괜찮았던 거 같습니다. (아니면 제가 운이 좋거나.. 면 요리엔 관대해서 그럴 수도)

아 이런 젠장, 또 먹고 싶네요... 깍두기하고 같이 먹으면 진짜 너무 맛있는데.
Darn it, I want to eat it again... It's too good with radish kimchi.
