For ICO, you want to send using as high a gwei as possible in order to get your transaction picked up the miners. Sometimes, there is a set limit of 50gwei ... if there s no cap and it is a hot ico, i suggest you put as much as you are willing to pay.
That only applies if an ICO adopts first come, first served policy. This ICO adopts dynamic ceiling, which means the speed of transaction is less important but the timing of transaction is more important.

50 gwei and 200000 gas limit are enough. I succeeded four times in this morning.

So, in this case 50 gwei should be enough. Less than this, there is a chance the contract will run out of gas.
