[Volunteer in Nepal] Homestay!

이 사진은 제가 네팔에서 찍은 사진 중 가장 좋아하는 사진인데, 정말 예쁘지 않나요ㅠㅠ?❤️
This picture is my favorite one. Isn't it so beutiful?

홈스테이 집으로 향하는 길에 ‘어자이’라는 아이가 꽃을 꺾어 들어보이더니, 저한테 줬어요! :)
On our way to our homestay, a little boy named "Ajay" picked us flowers.

학교에서부터 홈스테이 집까지 한 45분을 걸어간 것 같아요. 이 울퉁불퉁한 산 길을 매일 45분 넘게 걸어 학교를 등교한다 생각하니 아이들이 참 대견했어요.
I think we walked about 45 minutes from school to homestay house. I was very proud of them because they walked to school more than 45 minutes every day on this bumpy mountain road.

우리는 ‘틱처’ 집에 가기로 했는데, ‘틱처’ 뿐 아니라 이 쪽 동네 아이들도 다같이 집에 갔어요. 아마 외국인인 우리를 신기해 한 것 같아요 ㅎㅎ 덕분에 이 날 아이들과 많이 가까워졌지요 :)
I had many friends on my way homestay. Not only ‘Tickcher’ , but all the kids in the same town went home together. Maybe they are curious about us who are foreigners.

홈스테이 집 도착 !
아이들도 각자 집에서 편한 옷을 갈아입고 나왔어요. 너무 귀엽죠 ㅠㅠ
외국인인 우리가 신기했는지 계속 쫑알쫑알, 이곳저곳 끌고다니며 우리에게 동네를 구경시켜주었어요.

The children also changed comfortable clothes at home. so cute.❤️
The children kept dragging us around to show us the villege. Maybe children are curious because we are foreigners.

홈스테이 집 안 모습이예요.
It's the inside of my homestay house.

‘틱처’의 사촌동생이라 하는 ‘산미체’라는 여자아이는 수줍음도 많고 너무 이쁜 아이였는데요, 틱처의 바로 옆집에 살아 놀러 다녀왔죠.
His cousin ‘Sanmiche’ was a shy and very pretty girl who went to live next door to ‘Tictcher’.

그랬더니 노트 하나를 보여주는데, 노트엔 빼곡히 한국어를 공부한 흔적이 있더라고요.
She showed me a her notebook. She said she is studying Korean.

너무 신기하기도 하고, 너무 예쁘고.
너무 사랑스러웠던 산미체.
She was so pretty and lovely.

어머니는 우리를 위해 부엌에서 네팔에서 흔히 마시는 ‘짜이’라는 차와 야채스프를 준비해주셨어요.
Mom prepared a cup of tea "Zai" and “vegetable soup” which is commonly consumed in Nepal.

‘짜이’는 홍차에 우유를 넣고 끓여낸 차인데, 네팔에 있는 동안 거의 매일 먹은 것 같아요. 맛은 정말 상상 이상으로 맛있어요 :)
I think I ate ‘Zai’ almost every day while in Nepal. The taste is really good.

우리가 신기한지, 계속 새로운 친구들이 우리가 있는 방으로 몰려왔어요 ㅎㅎㅎ
New friends kept coming to our room.

저녁식사는 닭고기 커리를 준비해 주셨어요. 어마어마한 밥 양 보이시나요?ㅎㅎ
For dinner, She prepared chicken curry. Can you see the enormous amount of rice? Haha

저와 친구는 감사한 마음에 아주 싹 싹 비웠죠!
It was a very delicious dinner.

우리는 준비해간 한국 김과 사탕 등을 선물로 드렸어요. 그리고 벌써 친해져버린 이웃집 아이들과 밤 늦게까지 놀고, 카트만두 야경도 구경하다가 잠들었어요.
To thanks her, we gave Korea seaweed and candies that we prepared. And I played with lovely children who were already close, until late at night, and watched the night view in Katmandu and fell asleep.

다음 날 닭 울음소리에 깨서 인사드리고 일찌감치 ‘joy house’로 향했답니다. 거의 1시간을 걸어서^^;
The next day, I woke up with a cry of a chicken and said bye and went to Joy house early. Walk for almost an hour.

이 날을 통해서 아이들과 무척이나 가까워지고, 네팔 현지 가정을 체험해 볼 수 있어 너무 행복했던 경험이었어요 :)
It was a very happy day for me to get very close to children and experience home in Nepal :)

이 날 학교에서 사랑스러운 아이들과 함께한 첫 교육봉사는 다음 이야기에서 적어볼게요!
Let me write about the first time we went to school to do volunteer work with lovely children in the following story!
