Goyang City is 25 km from Seoul, you can reach it by metro or city bus.
The first flower festival was held in Korea in 1997. The scope of the show surpassed all expectations. For a few days the city of Goyang was visited by more than 6 million people. Since then, the flower show here is held every year - in a park near Ilsan lake.
This flower festival was attended by representatives from more than 30 countries.
The exhibition was held for two weeks. On working days are open from 10 to 19 hours, and on weekends from 9 to 21 hours. Entrance tickets are 12,000 Korean won or 12 dollars. But there are different discounts, for example, discounts for foreign visitors. For foreigners, the ticket price is 8,000 Korean won (8 dollars).

The exhibition is divided into 2 parts: internal and external.
The indoor exhibition takes place in a large indoor indoor park. This year indoor exhibits are divided into 4 sections: National Pavilion (pavilion represented by various countries), Flower Monument 2018, Exotic Flower Exhibition and International Garden Plant Garden.
The Street Flower Show is represented by the following sections: Flower World Festival, Colored Flower Land, Flower Valley and City Smart, Tulip Garden, Fun and Love Photos Zone. In addition to exhibitions, festival organizers come with entertainment programs. Every day the program is different. Visitors can see the performance of Korean pop stars, called K-Rohr, traditional dances, magic shows, flower parades, and more. Another popular festival in Korea, which takes place in spring is the Lantern Festival. The official name of the festival is the Lotus Lantern Festival. It's time for the Buddha's birthday. This year, 122 Lantern Festival took place.
The Lampion Festival is organized by City Hall with support from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Korean Buddhist Association and other organizations. The festival lasts nearly 2 weeks. But the most magnificent event was held on May 12, when more than 100 thousand lights were lit on Seoul night, and on Chonno street was a festive parade. A month before the start of the festival, all the streets of the city are decorated with different colored chandeliers, which light up at night, lighting up the road.
In addition, in the Buddhist temples of Ponyns and Choges, as well as along the Chongcheon River, a lantern exhibit is installed. Every year, the exhibition presents a variety of lights. And in Buddhist temples there are special services and activities. Anyone can come to Choges temple and make lotus lanterns.
And in town there are concerts and performances, most of which are free. In the square near Chongqak station, a free Korean traditional dance and singing performance is arranged. So anyone can come and have fun.
Buddhist birthday is celebrated in all cities in South Korea, and the mayors of each city organize their day off. On May 12, Dongguk University hosted a Buddhist song and worship festival, where not only students, but also children and residents took part. For Buddhists, the most important is the Dharma ceremony, which takes place at the temple. Dharma means "truth" or "way". This year's ceremony will be held on May 22nd and will begin at 10 am in all state temples.
