Tonight I gonna share with you a new single and video from Koffee that just released her first cross-over collaborative single W, featuring hip-hop artist Gunna.

Six days after her Grammy 2020 nomination read the news here for her debut EP Rapture, Koffee released a new single and video. The combination with American rapper Gunna is titled W. Within 48 hours the video reached the 1 Million views milestone on YouTube and it doesn't look like it will slow down anytime soon.

It's currently the #1 Trending video in Jamaica. Milestones of 10,50 and 100 Million views seem possible very soon. Koffee's most popular video Toast watch it in my post about Toast was published one year ago (November 16, 2018) and recently reached 87 Million views on YouTube.

In a recent interview with ID Magazine, Koffee talked about the new single:

We did it in LA. I usually pre-write songs ... I get a beat, I go home, I listen to it, I write something. But this came together in the studio. I listened to the beat and the lyrics just came to me on the spot. We had this empty verse and thought, let's get Gunna. He did it and I was blown away.

Who is Koffee?

People know her stage name, Koffee but her real name is Mikayla Simpson that was born on 16 February of 2000. Koffee is a Jamaican reggae singer, songwriter, rapper, deejay and guitarist from Spanish Town, Jamaica. She is 5ft tall and brown-skinned.

Her Genres are Reggae and dancehall and she has been active since 2017 to present with the labels, Columbia Records.

Koffee is one of my favorite reggae female artists.

Gunna is a stage name of Sergio Giavanni Kitchens is an African-American rapper, songwriter, and fashion influencer. He was born on June 14, 1993, in College Park, Georgia, USA.

He has taken the world of music and fashion by storm in recent years. Signed to big labels like ‘300 Entertainment’ and ‘YSL Records’, he is considered to be a rebel in the hip-hop music industry. His best-known albums include ‘Drip Season 3’, ‘Drip Harder’, and the chart-topping ‘Drip or Drown 2’. Gunna heart-wrenching style of lyrics draws inspiration from his life. Additionally, the resilience shown by him to overcome the odds is clearly reflected in some of his greatest hits. These include songs like "Phase", "Floyd Mayweather", "Life Goes On", "Yosemite", "Never Recover", and "3 Headed Snake". Furthermore, his fashion sense and style have guaranteed him a unique place in the world of fashion. Undoubtedly, all of these have contributed to him being hailed as one of the biggest hip-hop influencers of recent times.
