INTRODUCTION

In a digital and technological world where almost everything is being run through the internet. Many people experience online theft and all sort of embarrassment and disappointment when purchasing goods online without the use of an arbitrator. Most of this online platforms were trade is being made will sometimes fail to send the goods the users ordered for or, pictures and samples that was seen on the platform by the user did not correspond with what they got. This is a conundrum we face daily and needs to be halted. This is where kleros comes in.

Kleros is a new decentralized platform that is built in Ethereum which works as a decentralized platform to stand as an arbitrator or a third party on all kind of contracts from complex to simple ones. Kleros serve as a dispute resolution system that renders judgement in an inexpensive and swift way.

Kleros is an option in the court where contracts will be signed to choose kleros as an arbitrator. Upon the contract agreement, the creators will choose how many jurors and which court will be responsible for ruling their contracts should any dispute arise. The sole aim is that, they will have to choose a court that specializes in the topic in their contract. The image below shows the court principles on which users can choose from depending on what's written in their contracts.

Kleros can help in a number of ways in conflict resolutions.

The only way conflict can be resolved is by the involvement of a third party which serves as an arbitrator between conflicting parties. Which is the role kleros is trying to play. If eventually, the platform becomes a success, contracts signed and judges chosen too, it makes it easier for one to use Kleros to be a middle man between traders and buyers without dispute.

There are also certain kinds of issues that kleros can resolve, some of which are;

Online Theft: Many people are naturally scared when purchasing goods and services online because of past experiences from family and friends. There's every possibility that when purchasing an item online, it might not get to you. I have a friend that ordered for an iPhone from one of these platforms( won't mention the name), on receiving the package, she got an android phone instead, too bad yeah? Kleros will be a middleman between traders and sellers in order to avoid thefts of this manner.

Kleros is a decision protocol for a multipurpose court system able to solve every kind of dispute. It is an Ethereum autonomous organization that works as a decentralized third party to arbitrate disputes in every kind of contract, from very simple to highly complex ones. Every step of the arbitration process (securing evidence, selecting jurors, etc.) is fully automated.
