How to Make Pizza Dough

Ingredients:

400 grams of all purpose wheat flour
1 teaspoon fresh yeast (baker's yeast)
200 ml of water
a pinch of salt
A pinch of sugar
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Preparation of the dough:

In a large plastic container mix the yeast and water. Add the 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil, stir a little with your fingers and begin to incorporate the wheat flour slowly. Add also the pinch of salt and sugar.

Use a single hand to mix first. At first you will stick unbearably on your fingers, continue mixing and adding the flour slowly.

By this time the mixture will begin to be less sticky. You should continue kneading it, with both hands now, until it does not stick to your fingers. This takes several minutes. If it still sticks a lot, add more flour.

When it is almost gone, remove it from the container and place it on a flat, clean surface with a little flour. Knead hard for about 10 minutes. Stretch it and rejoin it several times, the idea is that the dough will become elastic. If you still stick a little on your fingers, add more flour, but always in small portions. Continue kneading until it looks compact and even.

After this place the pizza dough back into the plastic container and cover it with a clean, dark cloth. Let stand for 1 hour. With this you will allow the incorporated yeast to begin to act, causing it to increase in size.

After this time uncover the container, you will surely find that the mass has grown. Ideally, it has doubled.

Put it on the flat surface where you previously worked with a little bit of flour.

Love it hard for about 5 minutes and begin to stretch slowly, looking for the classic round shape of pizza, or square, rectangular, depending on your tray.

To stop this you can use the famous roller.

  • How to make pizza: you can put a little oregano or dried basil in the dough to experiment and flavor it -
    Stretch dough evenly on all sides until you get the size you need, which in this case is the same as the tray / mold, about 40 centimeters in diameter.

When you have this size gently move it to the tray.

If you need to cover the surface, try to stretch the pizza dough with your fingers, with caution. If you get a little sideways, use a knife to remove the excess.

Once the dough is placed and well distributed, leave it to rest for another 5 minutes. You can use this time to prepare the ingredients of the pizza and preheat the oven.

Preparation: How to Make Easy Homemade Pizza

Ingredients:

Half a can of tomato (or 4 large peeled tomatoes)
A pinch of oregano
a pinch of salt
100 grams of mozzarella cheese

Add the tomato sauce on your pizza dough previously prepared and ready in its respective mold. Spread the sauce well with a spoon to make it uniform on all sides.

Then add the grated mozzarella cheese and then the other ingredients.

Bring to the oven, preheated to 200 degrees Celsius.

Leave to cook for 10-15 minutes. Watch out that it will not burn, since some ovens are treacherous.

The exact point of the pizza is: the melted cheese and lightly browned on top, and the slightly brown pizza dough underneath. It must be able to break easily without becoming a cookie.

Some people prefer their pizza more or less thick and more or less crunchy underneath. This you will decide according to your taste and you can adapt it in later preparations.

Reasons why your homemade pizza might not stay the way you wanted it

Even if you already know how to make homemade pizza, it's no use following these tips.

The process of making the dough is important. You should use a fresh, good quality baker's yeast. Nothing to use one that was stored months ago. Nor baking powder, which is not the same. If the dough does not grow, very possibly you used an old yeast.
Not all wheat flour is the same. Follow the steps I give you. And just stir them if you see that the dough is very watery or very compact when you are mixing it. And remember: any adjustment do it in minimum proportions, never with a single blow.
When stretching the dough be careful not to break it, if there are broken or very thin parts, you can stick it in the mold when you remove it. Just as if this is not the end of the world, go ahead.
Remember to grease the mold well, on all sides, including the edges so it does not stick.
Use fresh tomatoes for the sauce. Nothing worse than an acid tomato sauce.
When in the oven try not to be distracted, very easily you can spend time with the respective consequences.
When detaching it from the mold do it carefully with a flexible blade. If it was stuck somewhere, use the same paddle to "tuck" underneath until it gives way. Do not worry, enjoy it anyway.
Practice makes a master. Do not forget.
