I totally agree with you on this one, in my own opinion, there is absolutely nothing wrong with a priest asking the bridegroom to kiss the bride.
This thing of it's inappropriate to kiss your bride in public stems from puritan culture that has done relatively more harm than good. The puritan culture is too legalistic for my liking because they make sex look as if it is EVIL
I'm planning on getting married soon and I can't wait to kiss my wife-to-be.
