Picnic bus kills in India, 33 dead

Agricultural University in Maharashtra, India A passenger bus fell into a roadside ditch, killing 33 people. The incident took place on the Mumbai-Goa highway near Ambaleni Ghat in Mahabaleshwar in Raigarh district on Saturday morning.

Police sources said, Dr. Belasheb Shant Kankan Vidyapith, the bus of this university was going anywhere in the weekly banquet. There were 34 people, including teachers, workers, students on the bus. 33 of them died. There are also some women in the dead.

The police said that the bus fell sloping in the hilly streets and dropping 500 feet below the quarry. Later, a resident of the accident started to rescue the locals when they reached the streets and informed the locals. After receiving the news, members of Indian National Disaster Response Team from Police and Pune also took part in the rescue operation.

Due to the last few days, such a road accidents are rising in the mountainous roads.

Congress President Rahul Gandhi, through a tweet message, urged his workers to participate in this rescue.
