Great post.
As adults it is good practice to defer immediate wants and needs in order to gain more in the long run and that was kind of the mindset I was stuck in.
This rule should not apply to parenting as children require constant attention but set within a good boundaries.
This is very well-said and a nice reminder. I have heard so many people say, and have even fallen into myself, this idea of doing the extra work now, or building a certain kind of future for their kids, at the expense of being present with them now. Dire circumstances aside, the love and engagement you spend with them now will be more valuable than any savings account you store away for their future.
Yes it is so true and I have become very conscious of it. Getting the balance is essential. Thanks
