Parenting and the flu!

Well, today had to go to the E.R, little one had a 103 temp. As you can guess she has the flu. Explaining everyone elses sickiness. :(
So I have been trying to not have to take medicine but when it comes to my kid we give her medicine and herbal things. Whether you agree or not, we have not always had medicine but seeing as she is a young child I do believe in medicine for her. So took her to the E.R and the did the normal, you know, swab the throat and the nose. She was fine when it came to the throat swab but the nurse had to have us assist because she was being a butt about getting a nose swab. That made me feel embarrassed because I know she was doing it to be a butt. But what could I do.
So bam found out flu.
What is your opinion on TamiFlu? They told us we could opt out and just treat the symptoms, so tylenol, cough suppressant and ibprofen, plus days out of school and to get her plenty of rest.
Thats todays blog and I will keep everybody up to date on her. Plus I think I may be next.
