Learn to be a good father

My son has been school for one week, not bad so far.
The school fees are small thanks to the China policy of Nine-year compulsory education, yet offering quality education for kid do need spending a lot of money. First of all, if we want our kid enter current school, our kid need to live nearby so they can get an qualification to enter into school, unfortunately half of students do not meet this rule, so the alternative way is buy the house near to the school, that will be a huge cost, the house cost is now around $ 240,000(around 90 m²) to $ 480,000(around 170 m²), and this is only an small county-level city(this city economy are very good in China of course), that's what parents need to do if they want the kid go to good school, not to mention other big city like Hangzhou,Shanghai,Beijing,etc.
And many parents also rent house nearby the school like us, because the new house are still in decoration, so the house rent business are quite booming here.
In this semester, my son will learn some new lessons, like calligraphy, Ping-pang(we believe this sport are good for improving eyesight) etc., and he will keep on learning some old lessons which he has been learnt for 1 year, like drums, English. Some students may learn more, but we don't want to add more burden to our kid, he need more time to digest what he learnt already.
After we took my son back to school and finish the supper, my son and i will finish the homework like Chinese and math although not too much; Second, practicing drum for 20 minutes; Third,practicing how to keep ping-pang ball on the racket, then take bath, when finishing everything the time is 9:30 PM already.
Not easy for kid, not easy for parent, as i believe what i do for my son is not only for him, but also for myself. Educating children has always been self-education.
儿子去学校已经一周了，尚好。
得益于9年义务制如今的小学学费少到几乎可以忽略不计，然则于大多数父母而言，显然不会止步于此，让孩子上更好的学校受更好的教育才行，而这就需要花费更多的钱。以儿子上学来说，他如今去的学校在我们所在地区是最好的学校之一，但我们之前住房不属于此学校招生片区，招生条件首要考虑的户籍这条就没通过，大概半数以上的学生都不符合。替代方案就只能去买学区房，政府把优质学校的新校区设在此处，开发商蜂拥而至盖了大批的商品房，房价从150万（90平米以内）到300万（170平左右）左右不等（不算别墅），而这只是一个县级市（当然这是一个在中国发展很好的县级市，虽然很多人可能都没听说过），更不要说像北上广深这些一线大都市里。
和我们一样，非常多的家长为了孩子上学都在附近租了房，因为大多数人的新房都还在装修。租房费用不低，正常3.5-5万一年，这附近的租房生意非常好。
本学期，儿子学了一些新的兴趣班，比如毛笔书法，乒乓球（我们觉得这对提高视力有帮助），这些都是社会上的兴趣班，非学校项目。之前在幼儿园期间学的科目也还会继续，比如英语和爵士鼓，尽管我们已经帮他砍掉了很多之前的学的科目，很多学生还会学的更多，但我们都不想再给儿子增加更多负担，他需要时间去消化所学。
今天从学校接儿子回来，饭毕，紧张的辅助工作开始，先是学校老师布置的语文和数学的家庭作业；之后敲20分钟爵士鼓，去年买的爵士鼓太大不方便带过来，依然放在老房子里，在这里用一些盒子搭建了一个简易的爵士鼓，将就着练；再之后做乒乓球端球训练和洗澡，一切结束已是晚上9点半，再给他读凯斯宾王子的书。
对儿子来说这一切不容易，对父母来说亦如此。《冬吴同学会》的“昂贵和高贵”那期节目的一些对话给我印象深刻：孩子是上天给我们的一个很重要的礼物，让我们得以重新观察自己，审视自己，重新长一遍。养孩子，不仅是为了孩子，更是为了我们自己。驯养者永远在被驯养，教育孩子从来都是自我教育。
