Hello guys, and hello @karensuestudios! I am Kymio, from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. First and foremost , thank you very much for generously hosting such contest with a such meaningful prize given away especially for a minnow like myself who is currently struggling while trying to help my other fellow communities im part of here in Steemit.

Aspiration From 'SKETCHING' : The basic form of knowledge.

A lil bit about myself, I am a multi enthusiast that have a passion in a lot forms of arts from sketching, architecture, drawings, paintings to musics, poetries, photography and stage performances. I am currently a PhD student, writing and researching on the psychological and anthropological view on sketching , in which focus on the growth of knowledge in the public realm through sketching.

My aspiration of knowledge development through sketching in community derived from the simplicity of sketching as an information transfer apparatus in any various knowledge field.

For example, isn't it better if a doctor sketch a diagram to a patient while describing the symptom/health problem and have the patient to keep the sketch for their reference? Or why TED Talks hire illustrators to illustrate the points adressed by their speakers? or why Leonardo da Vinci sketch before he actually paint the Monalisa?

This is because sketching is the most basic form of knowledge .

Even our every letter of alphabets, is actually a sketch. when you writing the letter "A", are you writing it or drawing it? :)

In 2014 i have implemented this though into a sketching group based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia called the KL Sketchnation to walk my talk, and to spread the vibrant vibes of sketching in public places. These movement will turn 4 years at the end of this month and have grown tremendously from just a small group of friends into a whole bigger international community where we were part of the organising committee with Manchester Urbansketchers for the World Sketching Symposium in Manchester, United Kingdom in 2016.

We organise gathering every 2 weeks to do sketchwalks; where we gather in an under appreciated part of the city, to sketch and have conversation about the place, and engaged with the local people there, to learn more about our own city.

Answering our Calling : Arts and Volunteerism

We believe our group have the biggest potentials to become the catalyst for any humanitarian acts or any kind of positive awareness fought by our generous people out there say it in environmental, health and wellbeing or any other causes by having these people to visualize their concerns and voices through participations to sketch and voicing out through the act of sketching and drawing.

We have involved in a lot of humanitarian events, fundraising and engagements since we were founded. We draw postcards with the orphanages, we paired artists to engage with the underprivileged kids and teach them arts, gather artists to paint murals in orphanages and rural schools, providing opportunities for young budding artist a platform to share and aspire others as arts and good deeds are contagious!

Earlier this year, under #steem-cartoon founded by @sireh and @perennial , we have launched a sub-community called the #sketchnation to support urban sketchers who love to sketch and engage places both in their home town or their travelling . Theres always a lot to tell through an urban sketching especially on the culture, foods, people, buildings, fashion as well as the economical and political influences of a place or of a community.

I believe these thousands of people doing the similar thing im doing are under appreciated and deserved to be supported thus i think if i were been given the opportunity to share your good deeds on the SP delegation, under my lead, we will definitely grow faster an bigger to spread the positive vibes among our members, and ultimately increasing appreciation of the public realm towards our surrounding. I believe through steemit and blockchain, there will be better sharing and thoughts that will leads to sustaining good contents here in Steemit.
