The picture is my at home start page for all things steemit. The tokens being displayed are the first Dozen that I received from various people, and air drops.

Post and comments can be blocked from view on a block chain, but they are supposedly still there. having someone block a page from family viewing with the tools available in most browsers is definitely possible. having a service provider block only one particular website built on a block chain with out blocking the entire block chain I am not sure they could do, but yes Main Stream Internet Providers can do pretty much what ever they want until people complain. FaceBook, AT&T, Verizon, YouTube, can all block and deny access to content, if your webpage is on one of those service providers, or you have a facebook/youtube account, it is very easy for them to just turn your site off to the entire world. I do not think that AT&T or Facebook would be able to turn a Block Chain website off to the world. They just do not have that much control.

I am not sure how block chains work, if there is one and only one IP address for steemit, or if that is constantly changing based on what node or server you happen to get when you log in. I do know that steemit Inc blocked a post. Supposedly that post was still visible on other front ends and accessible through other means, but that was before my time on steemit so not sure at all about the details.

Perhaps @steemit or others can answer that question. Someone once said to me that everything can be deleted as if the witnesses close down.

In time it will all disappear. There are after all very very few BBS's around anymore. There are hardly any service providers that also offer hosting. I just think that the block chain technology could possibly bring personal web page hosting back. It would be a real bonus if they could offer it also to businesses.

I can see small mom and pop stores with a block chain site, some one comes into their shop to buy something then they can just call up the crypto register on their smart phone, make payment, store owner looks at home page see's transaction done and complete and gives a receipt. It certainly takes a lot longer than 3 seconds to insert your credit card in the slot, wait, and wait some more, then it finally flashes approved, and all you need to do is remember to take your credit card back and put it in your wallet. Check out time could be reduced quite a bit with a 3 second transaction.

Block Chain Hosted web sites could, if feasible, really become the next internet of all things.

Might be it is a plus but I keep thinking by myself... what if there is no power again.

Many people still have a site. I don't. Would not know any reason why I need it.
