4th of July but liberal AF

Pride Month has just ended. Just a reminder that the government and individuals have no business regulating the sexual behavior of two consenting adults!

Friendly reminder that not all gun owners and supporters of bearing arms are god-fearing, free market, traditional family values conservatives. I myself am a bit of a moderate on guns, but if you are a lefty and are concerned about how gun control can disproportionately effect communities of color or could put the people at a disadvantage against their ruthless, despotic government, check out the Socialist Rifle Association!

Here is my first quote from a US president. Abraham Lincoln, a Republican who aided in the establishment of the party as a major political force for almost two centuries to date, started a civil war in order to preserve the union of all of the states as well as served as helped to end slavery in our country, providing a catalyst for a long century of a civil rights movement for the equality of African-Americans.

Now I'm well aware that quotes from presidents and founding fathers are often watered down, faked, or otherwise bowdlerized to fit certain political agendas. This Lincoln quote came from this letter he wrote to Henry L. Pierce, thanking him for being invited to Boston on Thomas Jefferson's birthday.
