# India embarrassed in the Maldives incident
The Maldivian crisis took a new turn. The order of the release of nine high profile political leaders was given by the 5th bench, three judges of the bench had withdrawn it.

President Abdullah Yameen Abdul Gayoom, after the state of emergency, police and security forces picked up Chief Justice Abdullah Saeed and Justice Ali Hamid from the Supreme Court building.
The three judges, who have not been arrested , withdrew the February 1 order on Tuesday evening as part of an agreement with President Yamin.
The press has claimed that these three judges have come to a secret understanding with the government to keep themselves safe.
They also said that President Abdullah Yameen Abdul Gayoom reinstated the abolished power of the judges under the state of emergency so that these three judges could withdraw the previous order.
President Yamin welcomes the retirement of the previous order of the judges.
Although these three judges are free to withdraw their order, Chief Justice Abdullah Saeed and Justice Ali Hamid have been kept in prisons. They have been charged with conspiracy to overthrow the government.
Earlier on that day, former President Mohamed Nasheed sent a message to India to India's military intervention to free two detained judges, his predecessor, former president Mamun Abdul Gayoom, to free the detained political leaders.
In view of this, India expressed dissatisfaction in the ongoing situation in the Maldives. After giving an official statement to India, the three judges withdrew their orders on February 1.
The three judges said in their new order that, considering the President's concerns, they decided to withdraw the special part of their order (which was the release of the detainees).
