Journalist Al-Jazeera claims in a secret operation, that in the last two years, gamblers have spoiled wickets in two Tests. Al-Jazeera claims that former Mumbai-based first-class cricketer Robin Morris is involved in the crime.

India faced Sri Lanka in Galle Stadium in July last year TV channels al-Jazeera claimed that the matches were distorted in compliance with the gamblers. On the basis of a secret operation, media reporter David Harrison said that Mumbai's former first-class cricketer Robin Morris has admitted that he was involved in bribing the groundsman of the ground on two match pages last year.

According to al-Jazeera, the two matches of the changed wicket are Sri Lanka-Australia in 2016 and Sri Lanka-India Test in July last year. Two matches were held at Gaul Stadium. Al-Jazeera's secret operation video has been released on YouTube.

The press has claimed that the gamblers planned to place Sri Lanka-England Test in the fall in November this year. They said this in secret operations themselves. Al-Jazeera accused Tharanga Indika of assistant manager Gaul Stadium for involvement in the match-fixing plan. However, the media did not find any information about whether the players knew about deforming the wicket, the media said.

However, Morris denied the involvement in illegal activities. Her claim, Al Jazeera called her to act in a movie to entertain the public. Meanwhile, ICC's General Manager Alex Marshall said in a statement, "We have already started the process of investigation with anti-corruption colleagues." Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) assured to provide "full cooperation" in this investigation process.

The England team is scheduled to tour Sri Lanka in October-November to play three Tests, five ODIs and one Twenty20 matches.
